Or you can purchase the DIY clay-based paints from our collection and enjoy painting this yourself in your own way, with clay paints that adhere beautifully to a wooden surface like this, with no need for a primer. I don't recommend that, because of the value this piece holds, but once you buy a piece, of course it's yours to do with as you please.

You may wish to have this piece refinished, by pulling back the finish and sealing it in its natural state, adding a light stain or paint wash, or returning it to close to a factory stain and finish. I can get that done for you at a partner site if you like.
