My young new client Theo and I met at King Arthur Flour's recent Makers' Market here in Norwich, Vermont.
Norwich happens to be the birthplace of King Arthur Baking, the flagship bakery and store, and where my family and I have lived for decades now.
So when they invited me along with other local makers to set up a small market in one of their hallways, it was an easy Yes! for me.
And what a lovely day it was!

There were 5 other artisans with the most gorgeous work available for sale. It was a privilege to be there.
Near the very end of the day, I got to meet Theo and his Dad. Theo was enjoying my original artwork (in the copper bin, on the right, with the dandelions in front), especially the series of foxes I painted.
He cleverly noted that I also offer spiral notebooks of lined paper, with my artwork printed on the cover, like this example.

Theo put the two ideas together and asked, "Do you have a notebook with a fox on the cover?"
Alas, I didn't.
"I don't, but I can get that made," I replied. "Which fox do you think would be best?"
After careful thought, Theo picked out his favorite, and on the back found that its name was "Smart Fox".
So, in honor of Theo, I want you to know two things ::
1. My original acrylic painting, Smart Fox, 9"x11", on 90# watercolor paper, is available now on my website

and
2. a new "Smart Like a Fox" notebook is now available on my Etsy shop, thanks to Theo

Thanks again to Theo and his Dad for coming to the market, and having such a thoughtful request of me.
I promised you a link to the fox notebook, and here you go!
Fondly,
Lisa
